Becoming Bionyc

Bionyc Industries was born in a small London studio in 2003. Managed by Danny and Bru Capozzi, a brother and sister duo, who began by exhibiting their artwork in galleries, bars and shops in Bristol and London and selling their canvases in their flagship store in Covent Garden, London. The shop sold limited edition canvases, clothing and accessories.

The design style combined fresh ideas and attitudes of street art, Japanese kanji-style typography and edgy illustration. Having grown up in the late 70’s early 80’s when New York was arguably the graffiti capital of the world and The Six Million Dollar Man ruled their imaginations, their influences were very much aligned with the urban culture of the time. 1970’s TV shows, skateboard graphics, cartoons, comics, B-Boying and computer games were all on the list.

After four successful years of trading Bru was head hunted by Disney and made the hard decision to persue her dream merchandising job. Danny decided to take Bionyc to the next level and take the store online in order to share the Bionyc brand to a much wider market.

Bionyc is committed to bringing you the freshest graphics and unique prints on streetwear. The highly successful Danny Capozzi – AKA: Hero 73, is Bionyc industries senior artist, who not only creates dope clothing but has been prolific in Directing animated films, exhibitions and content for the likes of Adidas, Fila, Aardman Animation, MTV and Size?
